Configurator sales quotes are used to determine an estimate to give to customers. However, with most estimating products, market pricing to quote is used instead of standard costing. The system already uses the rules correctly to determine what needs to be built. The current process is to cost the quoted item at market value as the current design of the software does not allow to accurately reflect market price to customer having to rerun and include "adder percentages" which lead to incorrect and unreliable variances.
Configurator currently works only with standard costing (07). The request is to be able to cost configured items with different cost methods, specifically Weighted Average Cost (02).
