(Doc ID 2312421.1)
Last updated on SEPTEMBER 08, 2023
Applies to:
JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version 9.2 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
When using advanced media objects (tools release 9.2.1.0 and higher) Media Object URL attachment linked to a network file share path is not rendering in Chrome or Firefox.
Chrome simply renders a blank page while Firefox produces a "Server Not Found" browser error.
Path to the attachment is using UNC naming and has this format \\server\folder\file
The URL attachment (in UNC) renders in IE 11 without issue.
Similar issue exist with FILE URI (Eg: file://<ServerName>/E920/mediaobj/htmlupload/Ball.jpg) as well where E1 allows FILE URI as URL attachments but it will fail to open or render.
