Address Book Duplication Prevention
Duplicate Address Book entries may cause issues with data accuracy, reporting, and auditing. This new enhancement provides functionality to validate the data being entered to prevent duplicate address book records from being created. You can specify whether you want the system to issue a warning or error message when it finds records with the same alpha name, city, and zip code combination or the same tax ID.
This new enhancement can be downloaded from the Update Center under Bug 26562538 ADDRESS BOOK DUPLICATION PREVENTION for EnterpriseOne Release 9.2.
Please note that this bug contains two enhancements:
- Address Book Duplication Prevention
- Address Book Required Fields. See document E1: 01: New Enhancement – Address Book Required Fields EnterpriseOne 9.2 (Doc ID 2317448.1) for more details.
For more detailed information on this functionality, please review the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Applications Address Book Implementation Guide Release 9.2 chapters 4.2.1.1 Duplicate Entry Validation (Release 9.2 Update) and 4.2.1.2 Identifying Potential Duplicates During Address Entry (Release 9.2 Update) and Knowledge Document E1: 01: Overview Address Book Duplication Validation (P01012/P0100041) (Doc ID 2316506.1).
