P4210 SO Entry

In the scenario involving free goods and non availability of inventory, the priority of assigning inventory is not given to the Original Ordered qty line and also free goods are not backordered.

.Using P4071 create an adjustment definition IPP meant for free goods.
.Using P4072 create the adjustment details for item IP for from level 40. Also free goods is setup for same item for qty ordered as 2, processing type as 3 and qty per ordered as 40.
.Link the adjustment to a schedule.
.Ensure that item IP has an availability of 30.
.Create a SO and link the adjustment schedule to the order.
.In the SO detail populate the qty ordered as 40 for this item and tab off the line.
.Notice that qty ordered changes to 38 correctly and also warning is provided about the presence of free goods and availability.
.Save the SO and notice that it splits the qty ordered into 38 and 2 accordingly due to the free goods concept.
.However system should have populated the shipped qty of 30 for the Original Ordered qty and backordered 8.
.Also for the free goods line the entire qty of 2 should have been backordered rather than shipped.
.Reason being the priority of assigning inventory should be given to the Original Ordered line and not for the free goods.
