E1: 34A: Sales Order Entry (P4210/P42101) Sourcing from Global Order Promising (GOP) Enhancement to Source from GOP Using Advanced Preference (Doc ID 2317532.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 28, 2019

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Sales Order Processing - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Purpose

An enhancement has been added to JD Edwards EnterpriseOne release 9.2 for Global Order Promising (GOP) Integration.  Prior to the enhancement in E1 GOP Integration, Sales Order Entry (P4210/P42101) populated the Sales Order detail branch(Demand Branch).  This value was passed to GOP during the GLBL Order Promising call and GOP will promise the shipment in the same branch. For example if the user entered branch plant M30 in the sales order detail line (Demand Branch) and the requested quantity is fulfilled by branch plant M40 in GOP sourcing rules, the user saw branch plant M30 in GOP response rather than branch plant M40.

This Enhancement bug requests for P4210 to not pass the demand branch to GOP and for GOP to update the Shipping Branch back to P4210 SO Detail branch.

With the enhanced functionality, sourcing from GOP will occur if the system configured the item to be sourced from GOP using Advanced Preference.
