E1: SOLEXP: Apostrophe in Task Name Causes Issues with Certain Visual Assist Popup Screens (Doc ID 2319365.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 03, 2019

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version 9.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Adding an apostrophe (') to a Menu Task Name from P9000 causes certain associated visual assist screens to crash and/or loop, see examples below.

Example 1: Dragging a column header over with the mouse pointer will cause the screen to crash. This issue can be duplicated with visual assist from field "Location" popup screen "P41LOCN".

Example 2: Using the Go-To-End Selection on the same visual assist popup window "P41LOCN" seems to go into an endless loop. Another example of a visual assist window having issues is "P17012S".

The only recourse is to Close/Sign off the web-browser window and re-login to JD Edwards EnterpriseOne
