Last updated on NOVEMBER 08, 2019

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Requirements Planning - Version 9.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

9.1 / R34650- Generate Forecasts

A 'First Date xx/xx/xx Not in Fiscal Date Pattern 'R' error is being issued and displayed on the R34650 report and no forecast is generated.
The date that is referenced in the error is for a prior year than what is needed for the actuals.

For monthly forecast generation, the First Date calculation is correct. The Fiscal Date Pattern should be set up in the P0008 to avoid the error.

However, for weekly forecast generation, the First Date calculation is incorrect.
The system is using the same date as the monthly calculation and checking this date to the 52-periods. The system should conduct the same
calculation, but use weeks.

The First Date calculation for weekly forecasts should count back weeks instead of months.
