E1: 31A: R31804 is Reporting Both Engineering and Planned Variances for Kit WOis (Doc ID 2352108.1)

Last updated on MAY 21, 2020

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Shop Floor Control - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Kit W line type sales orders that generate work orders are not writing current costs, similar to configured items, when the parts list is attached to the work order. This leads to engineering and planned variances being reported when R31804 is run. Since there will never be a current cost written to the F3102 engineering and planned variance should not be reported when running variance accounting.

Looking for R31804 to not report these variances

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Enter a sales order for a Sales Kit item with a W line type
2. Attach the parts list
3. issue material and complete
4. run R31802A
5. Run R31804 and a variance is reported for engineering and planned variances even though current does not get populated by design
