E1: 31: No Error or Warning is Displayed, When a Work Order is Created with a Component Item Having Zero Cost (Doc ID 2358097.1)

Symptoms

With Standard Cost Method; System does not display any error or warning message, when a Work Order is created for a Component Item having Zero Cost defined.

Below is an example of how this warning would occur:

  1. Create an item in the Item Master (P4101) and Item Branch (P41026).
  2. In Cost Revisions (P4105), set the item's Sales/Inventory to 07 (do not create simulated or frozen standard costs, P30026).
  3. Enter a Work Order (P48013) for the item; notice that the system displays the following message upon clicking OK:
  4. Error ID:  31114C  - No Standard Cost Is Set Up
