E1: JAS: Unable to Save Text Entered in Text Boxes in Chrome Browser After Fix for Bug 20989860 is Applied (Doc ID 2377340.1)

After applying the fix for <Bug:20989860>20989860 to fix a word wrap issue on Internet Explorer (IE) 11 Browser which is mentioned in <Document:2022977.1> E1: JAS: Word Wrap Not Working in Text Boxes with Internet Explorer 11 with Tools Release 9.1.5.x, users are unable to save the text entered in the text box in Chrome Browser.

Before the fix for <Bug:20989860> is applied, Chrome browser works fine. Users are able to save text and word wrap works too. On IE11 browser, although users are able to save text entered, word wrap is not working.

After the fix for <Bug:20989860> is applied, on Chrome browser, users are not able to save the text entered, but word wrap works; On IE11 browser, user are both able to save text and words wrap works fine.

This issue on not being able to save text does not occur in IE, but can be duplicated in both Chrome and Firefox browsers.

Steps to duplicate:

  1. On Chrome browser, enter P1205 in fast path to launch the Work With Message Log form.
  2. Click Find and Select an existing record.
  3. Enter a very long string of text in the Message text box so that the words can wrap.


  1. Click OK to save.
  2. Re-inquire the record, text is not saved.
