E1: 10: Incorrect Account Rollup and Missing Accounts on Simple Balance Sheet Report (R10111B) (Doc ID 2379393.1)

Symptoms

The visibility of and rollup of accounts on the R10111B report output appears to be affected by the presence or lack of balance records in the F0902 for the accounts in question.  When there are no balance records in F0902 for any fiscal year for a specific account, running R10111B will show the account on the report.  But if a balance record exists in F0902 for a given account, it will only show up on the R10111B report for the year(s) that have an F0902 balance.  This can lead to issues in how Level of Detail rollup functions if, for example, a LOD 6 account does not display for a year in which one of the LOD 7 accounts under it does display.  The result is that accounts can appear to roll up into incorrect higher level subtotal sections.

This issue may affect other financial reports as well as the client who reported the issue used a custom R55 report as the example, but noted that the same visibility and rollup subtotal problems had been observed on other reports as well.
