E1: 43: Certification Status in Purchase Order Entry with a Special Handling Code = 1 (Doc ID 2384736.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 05, 2019

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Procurement and Subcontract Management - Version 9.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Certification Status checking cannot be turned off for Purchase Order Entry (P4310).  There should be a way to turn off Certification Status checking if the validation is not desired.

For example, modify the Default value of the data dictionary (DD) for CERS Certification Status to include a 43/CR UDC value that has the special handling code = 1 to issue an error.  For regular suppliers, the desire is to require the certification.  For other types of orders (Intercompany or Interbranch sales order or an RMA with a related purchase order), there should be a way to turn off the validation that is required by that data dictionary change.
