Some of our leases are multi unit or within a given lease a tenant will move from one unit to another. Typically, we expire the old unit and leave the new unit active for a given lease. However, when entering a cash receipt, the P15103 program defaults the unit information for the old lease, even if it is expired.
This is the way the system works for Real Estate. It will take the first unit on the lease.
Typically this is a smaller unit number, so that is the one that is used.
This is only validating on the unit and does not use dates for any validation. This has caused problems for our accounting and collections. Requesting that there is an option to direct the program to use a specific unit or the active unit instead of the expired unit.
