Non-statutory employees have always been setup with a Tax Method = 2 in the employee's National and Fiscal Data screen so that they do not have any Federal taxes withheld.
However after taking the latest and greatest code for 9.2 in August 2017 this issue started.
If employee is setup with tax method equal to 2 (Federal Tax Exempt) then all wages are incorrectly going to the excludable column.
This is causing invalid wages on W2 due to Box 1 having no wages when it should.
If employee is setup with tax method 2 then all wages shouldn’t be going to excludable instead only 125 DBAs should go to excludable and wages should still be showing
up on W2 even though employee is exempt from FEDERAL A taxes.
This is how tax method 2 worked prior to August 2017.
