E1: 12: R12800 Not Creating Alternate Ledgers When Posting Cost Amounts to AA Ledger (Doc ID 2419716.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 07, 2019

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Fixed Assets - Version 9.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

The Alternate Ledger F1202 record (i.e. Ledger Type D6) is not created when posting cost amounts to the AA ledger, using a different cost account than the cost account on the asset master. For example, the D6 Ledger is set up in the Ledger Type Master | Fixed Asset Rules (P0025) with the Post Cost From this Ledger = AA. The Asset Master is created with Cost Account 50.2040. Depreciation Default Coding is set up for 50.2040 with Ledger Type AA only.

A JE is created for the asset, and cost is posted to account 50.2030.CEH. The Depreciation Default Coding for account 50.2030.CEH is set up for both Ledger Type AA and Ledger Type D6. When the journal entry is posted to fixed assets using the R12800, the cost is only posted to the AA ledger. The Cost is not then carried down to the D6 ledger.
