E1: 43: Direct Ship Order Extended Price Rounding (Doc ID 2437840.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 21, 2018

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Sales Order Management - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On : 9.2 version, Sales

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
After applying Bug 25292166 - SD DIRECT SHIP IS RECALCULATING EXTENDED PRICE INCORRECTLY WHEN OD IS RECEIVED the extended price on a direct ship order is not calculated correctly. This can occur if DD Data Class QTYINV is set to anything other than 4 decimals. In N4002540 code bug 25292166 made the following change.

BF mnSecondaryQty_SQOR = round([BF mnSecondaryQty_SQOR],4)

DD item SQOR is part of the Data Class QTYINV and the above code hard codes it to 4 decimals. If a customer has QTYINV set to 2 decimals or anything other than 4 decimals this will cause rounding issues with the extended price.

Please see E1: DD: Display Decimals Update for Data Item Class QTYINV and Data Dictionary Item QNTY (Doc ID 626475.1) for how the QTYINV data class can be changed by customers.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
Do not hard code any data item belonging to data class QTYINV to 4 decimals or any specific decimal value as the customer can decide how many decimals the QTYINV data class can be set to.

Note: Because Oracle support only has env where QTYINV = 4 we cannot test this issue. Setting up a new install with QTYINV = 2 would be lengthy and time consuming and require extra resources. Please review the change made by bug 25292166 in N4002540.

BUSINESS IMPACT
-----------------------
The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, the extended price on a direct ship order can be calculated incorrectly under certain circumstances.
