Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Issues with CNCode UNNumber from Product > CustomsDetails section in the XML resulted from R74L3001 SAFT Extractor

- Mapping documentation is incorrect (Doc ID 2308107.1) for CNCode and UNNumber
- The mandatory size of max 8 chars for CNCode is not validated
- The mandatory size of max 6 chars for UNNumber is not validated

According to Mappings E1: 74L: Portugal SAF-T XML Mappings (Doc ID 2308107.1) file "Portugal SAFT XML Mapping August 2, 2018"
CNCode value from Product > CustomsDetails > CNCode section it should be 8 chars maximum and it taken from table F4908 field UNNA
Table F4908 is Item Shipping Information
Alias: UNNA The UN or NA number assigned to hazardous goods . It has max 6 chars size .
Extract from mapping doc:
"MasterFiles 2.4.6.1 CNCode CustomsDetails C 0 or more C 8 [0-9]{8} E F4908 UNNA"

Issues:

1. R74L3001 takes CNCode from F40540 "Commodity Code" alias Alias: CMDCDE.Why is the mapping incorrect? Same for UNNumber mapping incorrect.

2. CMDCDE field has more than 8 chars which is wrong for Portugal solution
The commodity code-CMDCDE is maintained in the Item Master. Standard application allows to record the commodity code more then 8 digit however in
Portugal the max should be 8 as per PTA. Now for UK region the commodity code can be 10 or 11 digit based on the tariff codes. As the commodity code is
maintained at Item Master level so it is creating a conflict in case of Portugal and other EU countries and US too.

3. F4908 UNNA has only 6 chars which is wrong for Portugal Solution.

STEPS TO DUPLICATE

1. Portugal localization on
2. P4101 Item Master -> Additional Info tab "Commodity Code" alias Alias: CMDCDE. Populate with a code with more than 8 chars, for ex JANITORIAL
3. Process a sales order
4. Run R74L3001 for Portugal . Check XML resulted, - section CustomDetails
and notice the CNCode value is taken from CMDCDE and it has more than 8 chars which is not valid.

BUSINESS IMPACT:
When it is more than 8 chars then Portugal Authority rejects the XML file.
