Symptoms

Sometimes a specific receipt will produce an error of "Batch Is in Use or in Process of Posting Warning" when the user does the following:

1. In Standard Receipt Entry (P03B102), query for the receipt in question by way of Payor, Receipt Number, etc.

2. In the grid, double click or select the receipt record to bring up the Receipt Entry screen.

3. Instead of being taken to the Receipt Entry screen, notice that the error is returned as follows and that you cannot proceed:

Batch Is in Use or in Process of Posting  Warning
A form level error has occurred.
CAUSE: The batch that you are trying to enter or update is either in
use or in the process of being posted.
RESOLUTION: Try the request again when the batch is not in use or being
posted.
NOTE: The Batch Control record may not be updated for some
abnormal reason (e.g. a power failure or uncontrolled
sign-off). In this case, you may reset the batch status
using the batch revisions program on the Advanced
Operations Menu (G0931).
