E1: 30: DUPLICATE PARTS ON BOM CREATED WHEN ECO IS GETTING PROCESSED (Doc ID 2465112.1)

Last updated on MARCH 12, 2021

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Product Data Management - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Duplicate Parts (Components) on BOM added when ECO is processed

When a duplicate entry on an ECO Parts List exists, and same Where Used SS records were selected for both on the same ECO number, no error shows up when
R30510 (ECO-Bill of Material Update) is ran on both PROOF & FINAL MODE.  This
resulted to duplicate component part number entry on BOM's with just
consecutive Line No.

When a work order gets created for the parent, the same component part number
requirement gets doubled up.

Result: Duplicate component part number entry on BOM's with just consecutive Line No. So accordingly, when a work order gets created for the parent, the same component part number requirement gets doubled up.

Note:
The exact Same Test in the XE Release does NOT create Duplicate Components on
the BOM.
