E1: 42: Back Order Release (P42117) Does Not Allow Release of Backorder on Primary Location when There is a Backorder On Secondary Location (Doc ID 2469041.1)

Symptoms

When Back Orders are released with Commitments turned ON in P42117, back orders are not released and two lines are inserted in F42199 with Shipped Quantity and Second line with Back Order Qty.

Steps to Duplicate:

  1. Create New Item
  2. Create 2 Sales Order with header and detail Branch Plant (Back Order) - One for Secondary Location and One for Primary location
  3. Add Inventory to Primary Location
  4. Release Back Order with Commitments turned ON in P42117, Notice that Back Order is not released and 2 lines are inserted in F42199 with Shipped Quantity and Second line with Back Order Qty.
