E1: 77: F06176 Split Records For Timecards w/Work Dates From A Prior Period In Payroll (Doc ID 2470283.1)

Last updated on JULY 07, 2020

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Canadian Payroll - Version 9.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When time cards with work dates from a prior period are pulled into the payroll, the F06176 records are being split.

The hours are going to the respective period that the time cards are related to, but the total gross pay is going to the prior period, regardless if the gross pay is respective to the current period or not.

Noticed that even though only a fraction of the time card records in the payroll apply to the prior period, the total gross pay (including the amount for the current period) is being allocated to the prior period; the hours are being allocated to the appropriate period.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
==================
1. Canadian employee with benefit exempt for tax type CC
2. Add time cards that span different pay periods
3. Run payroll through final update for all the time cards
4. Review F06176, notice the gross pay is incorrect but hours are being
allocated to the appropriate period.
