E1: 42: Release Backorders Online (P42117) Issues Print Invoice (R42565) Subsystem Job When Processing Option Is Turned Off (Doc ID 2470898.1)

Last updated on JULY 26, 2021

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Sales Order Management - Version 9.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When releasing a back order using P42117 a record is inserted into the subsystem table (F986113) even when the processing option is Automatic Print (Print Tab) is set to blank. A record should not be written to subsystem jobs with the processing option off for Print.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Create a sales item without inventory
  2. Set 4 places for backorders allowed
  3. Enter a sales order that backorders
  4. Adjust inventory to release the order
  5. Set processing option for Print behind the P42117 release backorders on-line to blank
  6. Release the backorder
  7. Check subsystem jobs and notice that this record has written to the subsystem for the R42565
