Symptoms

Enhancement Request for Lease Liability Amortization Schedule for Non-Monthly Payment Frequency

The amortization schedules for balance sheet lessee accounting currently split non-monthly payments up evenly so every month has the same payment amount. Recurring billing still processes the payments on the non-monthly frequency.

The request is to change the amortization schedules to use the non-monthly frequency for the payments and not spread it across every month. Interest would still be calculated every month.

Ex:

Quarterly payment frequency in recurring billing = 5,000

Amortization Schedule:

1 - payment = 5,000

2 - payment = 0

3 - payment = 0

4 - payment = 5,000

5 - payment = 0

6 - payment = 0

Currently, the payment is 1,666.67 every month instead of the quarterly payment every 3rd month.
