Symptoms
In E1 release 9.2, Substitute Item Takeoffs are incorrectly calculating/multiplying quantities for Options.
When using the Substitute Item functionality in Takeoffs, the system incorrectly calculates the quantity for Options.
The system should work that a takeoff record is setup using a substitute item, a placeholder Cost Type/Cost Code, and the actual quantity to be used. (Sub Item Takeoff). A second (or series of) Takeoff(s) is then created using the actual item, cost type/cost code, quantity of 1, and then the substitute item in the Sub Item No field. (Actual Takeoff). The system should then know, based on the a value being populated in the Sub Item No. field, to disregard the quantity in the Actual Takeoff and insert the quantity from the Sub Item Takeoff. This process functions as expected for Base House Costs.
When calculating this for Option Takeoff Lines, the system appears to add the Quantity across Cost Codes such that the first cost code/line will receive the Sub Item Quantity, the second cost code/line will get 2x the Sub Item Quantity, the third cost code/line will get 3x Sub Item Quantity, and so on. This error in the calculation can greatly overstate the budget & commitment amount.
