E1: 42: Sales Order Entry (P4210) Price Effective Date Populates Incorrectly When Sales Price Based on Date is set as Invoice Date in System Constants (Doc ID 2503545.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 08, 2019

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Sales Order Entry - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

In the scenario wherein the Sales Price Based on Date is set as Invoice Date in System Constants, the Price Effective Date does not get populated correctly in SO detail during order entry.

STEPS
-----------------------
1. In System Constants set the Sales Price Based On Date as 6[Invoice Date]
2. Create a SO with Order Date as 12/27/2018 and Requested Date as 12/31/2018
3. Notice in the SO detail that Price Effective Date is populated as 12/31/2018 which is incorrect.
4. Reason being, since the Invoice Date has not been assigned to the SO so far, the Price Effective Date should be populated with the transaction date.
