E1: 07/77: Misleading EE Work Center Messages - B0700027 Creating CKCN Without Generating Auto Pay Timecard (Doc ID 2505288.1)

Last updated on APRIL 09, 2023

Symptoms

Auto Pay Generation (B0700027) is creating a Check Control Number (CKCN), in anticipation of generating an auto pay timecard, but which is never generated because the conditions for generating an auto pay timecard are not satisifed. Subsequently, a "Default Burden" timecard is generated by CreateDefaultBurdenTimecard when it's called from PaymentShellRecordServer (B0700017). Due to the fact that AAIs were defined with an account number that had a Posting Edit Code equal to an 'N', the Time Entry Master Business Function (B0500002) sets an error - for the account number having a non-posting edit code - which is captured by Pre-Payroll (R07200) and written to the Employee Work Center. In the process of determining that the employee was not paid and, therefore, no taxes or DBAs calculated for the employee, the payment Header (F07350) and Default Burden timecard (F06116) records are deleted; however, the error has already been sent to the Employee Work Center, so is confusing/misleading.
