E1: 34: Negative Lot Quantities Close to Expiration Are Showing as Postive Values in EA and BA (Doc ID 2535859.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 06, 2020

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Requirements Planning - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

EnterpriseOne 9.2
When running Multi-Plant MRP (R3482/R3483), if there are impending negative Lot Expired quantities, in the Time Series (P3413), the EA is added with the sales order demand resulting in an incorrect value POSITIVE value. This is turn results with the same incorrect value in the BA of the next bucket. This is incorrect as the BA should be negative as the expired lot quantity is greater than the positive sales order demand.

The expectation is that MRP should plan correctly at the right quantities at the correct planning period.

Business Impact: Anytime planning does not appear to be working correctly, this is a huge issue as quantities needed are not planned for.

Workaround:
Feasible workaround is to delete lots with negative quantities that are to expire.
