E1: 42/49: New Shipment Number Is Generated in P4915 Every Time When It Updates Quantity or Unit Price In P4210/P42101 (Doc ID 2538217.1)

Symptoms

When enter a sales order using P4210 or P42101 and do not save the order , the shipment number are changing every time when the user update the quantity or unit price in the lines of the order. Hence, there are shipment numbers that are not attributed and not used.

 STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1.Enter a sales order using P4210 with a line and do not save .
2.Take Form exit , select Freight Info menu and note the Shipment Number from P4915, that was opened . Cancel the application P4915 and go back to order entry.
3. Change the Quantity Ordered in the line of the order and do not save the order.
4.Take Form exit , select Freight Info menu. Notice that there is a new
Shipment Number . This was increased with 1 (e.g. from 6237 to 6238). Cancel the application P4915 and go back to order entry.
5.Change the Unit Price in the line of the order and do not save the order.
6.Take Form exit , select Freight Info menu. Notice that there is a new Shipment Number . This was increased again with 1 (e.g. from 6238 to 6239).
Press Save button in P4915 and go back to order entry.
7.Change the Unit Price in the line of the order and do not save the order.
8.Take Form exit , select Freight Info menu. Notice that there is a new Shipment Number . This was changed again .

Note : The issue occurs also if it uses P42101 Sales Order Entry Power Form .


When enter a sales order using P4210 or P42101 and do not save the order , the system has not to change the shipment number every time when the user update the quantity or unit price in the lines of the order.
