E1: 42: Sales Order Created from Blanket Release (P420111) Populates the Order with the Unit Weight from the Original Blanket Order Rather Than Calculating Unit Weight Based on Quantity Released (Doc ID 2541679.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 23, 2019

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Sales Order Entry - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When a sales order is created via Blanket Release, P420111, the extended weight (ITWT) of the original blanket order is copied to the resulting sales order. If a sales order is created via P4210/P42101 releasing a portion of a blanket order quantity then the ITWT is calculated correctly based on quantity on the sales order.

This issue can be reproduced with the following steps:
1. Create a blanket order for an item with unit of measure conversion from EA to GAL
2. Release a portion of the blanket order. Note the Secondary Quantity value is the Transaction Quantity multiplied by the weight.
3. Generate the sales order.
4. Review the resulting sales order via P4210 SOE Additional tab 2. Note the Extended Volume is the correct quantity. The Extended Weight (ITWT) is the value of the Extended Weight from the original blanket order.
