E1: XMLP: Temp File On Enterprise Server Not Clearing Out (Doc ID 2545527.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 03, 2021

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Enterprise Server temp directory filling up with temp files.  An incorrectly defined printer (in P98616), when used in a print request by XMLP kernel or UBE kernel, can cause the routine to exit without closing an open table handle to F986110, and in some cases, also leaves an empty temp file in the netTemporaryDir specified in the server's JDE.INI.

In addition, when viewing the RD output, the corresponding xml source is getting stored in the temp location defined under netTemporaryDir in jde.ini.  These files are not getting cleaned up automatically and as a result will eat up the disk space on the Enterprise Server, possibly causing other major issues, if not cleaned up manually.
