E1: 30: Allow Unit of Measure Conversion to Calculate New Quantity Per Value (Doc ID 2556525.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 01, 2019

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Shop Floor Control - Version 9.2 and later
JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Product Data Management - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Currently when changing a component using the R30520, if the Quantity Per processing option is left blank, the system will use the Quantity Per value from the previous component. This will occur even if the new unit of measure is different from the old unit of measure.

The request is to have the system calculate the new quantity per value based on the unit of measure conversion from the old UOM to the new UOM. For example:

If current component's quantity per is 1000 GM and the new UOM is KG with the New Quantity Per option left blank, the bill of material would be updated to 1 KG for the new component.
