Symptoms

Provide the functionality in Sales Order Entry to include (in the Item Availability screen) Quantity on Hold when the Item Availability Definition indicates to Subtract Quantities on Hold and Lots Status Code and Lot Status Groups are active along with availability checking.

When using Lots Status Code and Lot Status Groups, provide the functionality to revise how availability checking is performed. Currently, commitments made against locations with lots on hold subtract from the quantity available for the branch as a whole causing backorders when sufficient inventory is available in non-held locations.

When performing availability checking, the system looks at total availability of all locations within the Item Branch. If total availability is negative, then item will backorder. This availability checking is based on availability definition ( P41001) set up.

When the Item Availability Definition is set up to Subtract:
- Quantity Soft Committed to SO WO
- Quantity Hard Committed to SO
- Quantity on Hold

The check box for Quantity on Hold correctly subtracts the on hand quantity from the hold location. However, it should not subtract the hard commit quantity from the hold location in arriving at the remaining items available in the branch as a whole.
