Symptoms
DMAAI 4124 is consolidating all cost types into the last cost type written for the 4122 when doing Inventory Adjustments and Inventory Transfers. Cost types A1, B1 and C3 used for manufactured items are used to split journal entries for material, labor and overhead.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
- Create a manufactured Parent item
- Add two branches to be used for transfers
- Create a purchased item
- Add two branches to be used for transfers
- Add a Bill of Material
- Setup DMAAIs 4122 and 4124 for cost types A1, B1, C3 and C4 for inventory adjustments (IA) and inventory transfers
- Create an inventory adjustment for the parent item in branch M30
- Note the batch number
- Review the batch and notice the 4124 DMAAI is writing everything to C3 cost type instead of splitting up the cost types like DMAAI 4122
- Create an inventory transfer for the parent item from branch M30 to M40
- Note the batch number
- Review the batch and notice the 4124 DMAAI is writing everything to C3 cost type instead of splitting up the cost types like DMAAI 4122.
