E1: 46: R46171 MAX Quantity by Zone Generates Wrong Putaway Suggestions (Doc ID 2572993.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 03, 2020

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Warehouse Management - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Using Putaway process with Serial Number items and Maximum Quantity by Zone functionality, the system uses the first putaway instruction once, and for the remaining qty, it uses the second one, even if the first instruction should be used and the first location is not filled yet.

Note 1: If Max Quantity (AMPT) is set to N, not used, the system uses correctly only the first location/instruction.

Note 2: If defining a larger quantity into the Max qty by zone, it also works fine.

Note 3. Running R46171 for each putaway request separately also produces correct results.
