E1: 09: Enhancement Request For Functionality For Exclusive Application Security To Be Used With Inclusive Row Security For Post Program (R09801)
(Doc ID 2577430.1)
Last updated on OCTOBER 05, 2022
Applies to:
JD Edwards EnterpriseOne General Ledger - Version 9.2 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
Currently, the system has a known issue that was noted in Release 8.11 but unable to implement at the time.
Client is requesting functionality to allow the following:
Parent (Admin) company with multiple companies underneath it where the companies are determined by location worldwide. Users have access to their existing local company and then need the ability to post to Parent/Admin Company. The post to parent/admin company should be allowed while inquiry should not be granted.
Users are setup with Inclusive Row Security and then Exclusive Application Security for R09801.
When posting journals, the system fails to complete the post process due to the Inclusive Row security/Exclusive application security. This was noted in a Bug for release 8.11 in 2008 (See Bug 10983264 - EXCLUSIVE APPLICATION SECURITY). Workaround provided for the Bug is not acceptable workaround due to the number of companies and that the companies are worldwide.
Client would like the functionality to be added to the current system as this is a common setup with parent/child companies.
