E1: 42: Sales Order Lines will Get Re-sequenced and Customer PO (VR01) Field is not Getting Updated on all Detail Lines in Update Mode in Sales Order Entry (P42101) (Doc ID 2584224.1)

Symptoms

In P42101, the Customer PO is not getting updated on all the Detail lines for few of the orders and the order of the lines is random.

Note: The issue occurs only for older orders. There is no issue with the new orders.

Steps:

Scenario: -1 - The Customer PO is not getting updated on all the Detail lines
1. P42101 - Open an historical Sales Order.
2. Change the Customer PO in the header to “Test”. Click Save and Continue
3. The Line numbers will get re-sequenced. Customer PO value will not get updated for the re-sequenced grid lines. All other grid lines will get updated with the new Customer PO value.

Scenario: -2 - The Customer PO will get updated on all the Detail lines
1. Check newer Order number 2826. Double click on the Order number
2. Change the Customer PO in the header to “Test”. Click Save and Continue
3. The Line numbers will not get re-sequenced. Customer PO value will get updated for all the grid lines.
