When starting any workflow including custom and standard both, which send messages without shortcuts, the workflow kernels are going zombie and workflow status in P98860 is stuck in awaiting status .

Below call stack is seen in jde logs of workflow kernels  :

Once a shortcut value in APPRV_MSG task is defined, example, Call( App:P05420 , Form: W05420G ), then the BENAPPRV workflow will not get stuck.
