E1: 49: Mode of Transportation (MOT) Preference 34 Per Item Is Added To All Lines of the Sales Order (Doc ID 2590345.1)

Last updated on JUNE 25, 2021

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Transportation Management - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

When there are multiple lines in a transportation sales order, the MOT (Mode of Transport) preference is resolved correctly only for the lines having the preference setup at Item Level only. The other items are taking the MOT from the previous sales order line.

Steps to replicate:

1. P49002 Transportation Constants: Use Transactional Consolidation .
2. Preference Master 34 MOT (Mode of Transport):

3. P4210 Enter a Transportation Sales Order with items 2009, 2013, 230
Notice that the item 2013 has MOT WPX instead of 8 which is wrong . It should be 8 (from all items preference). If the user enters a sales order with only the item 2013, then MOT is 8, the preference is resolved correctly.
4. The request is to have different MOT for an order and have added this per customer Group and Item. But as soon as it finds an item specific MOT all lines on the order gets this. Only that line should get a different one.
