Trailing spaces of string fields such as report variables & constants are truncated and not visible in UBE CSV output OR Report definition Source XML file generated by UBE Engine.
For example, a report is designed in Report Design Aid with a constant string added with 10 leading and 10 trailing spaces as shown below:

When this UBE is executed, the PDF output shows both the leading and trailing spaces as shown below;

However, when this UBE is run to produce a CSV output or if this UBE is run as a report definition job, then the generated files will only have leading spaces but they do not contain any trailing spaces after the string.
