E1: JAS: FDA: Go To Error Link and Right Arrow Do Not Navigate to Second/Subsequent Errors (Doc ID 2604729.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 23, 2020

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

If an application has several errors, the Go To Error link or right arrow does not navigate to the second or subsequent errors.

On Internet Explorer (duplicated with version 11.0.9600.19463, Update Versions: 11.0.145 (KB4516046)):
When four errors are identified after uploading data into an application (e.g. P06042, error = Change Reason Must Be Alphabetic), the first Go To Error link takes the user to the first error, but subsequent Go To Error links moves the cursor to records which did not generate the record. The right arrow (>) does not advance the cursor to the next record generating the error either.

On Chrome (duplicated with version 77.0.3865.120):
When four errors are identified after uploading data into an application (e.g. P06042, error = Change Reason Must Be Alphabetic), all Go To Error links take the user to the respective errors, but the right arrow (>) does not advance the cursor to the next record generating the error either.

Steps to duplicate:
1. Upload data into P06042 using Ctl/C and Ctl/V, when the data is known to generate errors.
2. Notice four errors
3. Attempt to use the Go To Error link or right arrow (>) to advance to the next record generating the error.
4. Confirm neither work when using Internet Explorer, and only the Go To Error link functions in Chrome.
