E1: 33: Work Center Load Is Inflated By RRP for Fixed Order Qty Items (R3380) (Doc ID 2610128.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 13, 2019

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Requirements Planning - Version 9.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Running R3365 to generate the resource profile for a sub assembly item that has a fixed quantity in parent BOM, System extends the Fixed component's quantity per assembly value and overstates load on work center. Likewise, running RRP R3380 to calculate load against these resource units, calculates an extended hours, not a fixed hours, as if fixed hours times variable hours is calculated.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
==================
1. Create a multi-level BOM item that uses a fixed quantity sub-assembly.
2. Create a Direct Labor and Machine Labor work center for same.
3. Enter BF Forecast for the top level parent.
4. Generate Resource Profile for the parent item and generate Resource requirements based on the forecasts.
5. Review the Resource Profile and RRP generation and note any overstating (fixed or extended) hours.
