E1: SEC: Not Able to Edit or Update Any Records using Revise Security in P98OWSEC or P98LPSEC (Doc ID 2622644.1)

Symptoms

P98OWSEC or P98LPSEC Fails to Edit or Update Any Records using Revise Security. There is no error messages on screen but the update just does not go through.

1.Login to Web Client/FAT Client and go to P98OWSEC or P98LPSEC
2.Find and Select the user and go to Row Exit "Revise Security"
3.Try to change User Status from 01 to 02 or vice versa.
4.Click OK and a FIND on the Next Screen. The User Status did not changed.

Similarly it does not work for inserts of new security records and any other updates such as Password change frequency,Allowed Password Attempts etc.

Enterprise Server Jdedebug log shows following error message:
