While you can remain on JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 9.1 and continue to acquire Sustaining Support for access to our Global Services team, as well as access to existing fixes for known 9.1 issues, we highly recommend you consider upgrading to JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 9.2.
JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 9.2 is part of the Applications Unlimited commitment to continuous innovation. Oracle JD Edwards provides a commitment to offer Oracle Premier Support through at least 2033.
For customers that choose to remain on JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 9.1, there is an add-on offering to your support maintenance for the 2022 Tax Year through our Advanced Customer Services (ACS) team that offers the following:
- Severity 1 Fixes and Tax Form Updates (including 1099s)
Note: 9.1 Payroll Tax Updates for 2022 are not part of the offering for 2022. Customers can inquire with ACS for further questions.
Please contact the Global ACS team for more information or review the Technical Support policy for details.
1. Which Bugs can I expect to be addressed?
General Bugs were accepted and dispositioned per Oracle's policy until March 31, 2020. Open Bugs as of that date will be fixed and an ESU available where appropriate. As of April 1, 2020, no new bug will be entered on 9.1 as 9.1 is now in sustaining support.
2. Will Year-End fixes for 1099s, W2s, and T4s be available for Fiscal Year 2021?
A year end update for all customers for Canada and the US will only be available to customers who purchase an add-on ACS contract through Support Sales.
3. What about Australia/NZ?
JD Edwards has implemented Single-Touch Payroll. This eliminates yearly updates for Australia/NZ year-end.
4. Will I be able to download an ESU for 9.1 after March 31, 2020 that was available prior to March 31, 2020?
Yes, existing ESUs will remain available on for download via Change Assistant and/or the Update Center page on My Oracle Support.
5. What does Sustaining Support provide?
Sustaining support puts you in control of your upgrade strategy. With Sustaining Support, you will receive technical support for as long as you operate your systems, including access to our online support tools, knowledgebases, pre-existing fixes for your solution, and assistance from technical support experts. For some customers, Sustaining Support will allow continued use of the release. However, if you are actively implementing new sites, business processes, or modules, carefully consider the policy to determine if Sustaining Support is the right strategy.
Sustaining support allows for download of ESUs that were issued during the support period prior to Sustaining. What is NOT provided are code changes and/or code change requests on releases in Sustaining Support.
