E1: 08: Enhancement Request to Not Require Position ID Setup by Fiscal Year in P08101 (Doc ID 2630793.1)

Customer is requesting the ability for employee updates pertaining to company, Position ID, and employee should not be dependent on the Fiscal Year reported within Company setup (P0010). If the current date is in FY20, the system should verify the Position ID and BU link has been setup for the current Fiscal Year. If any financial issues arise from this setup, these will be caught when posting related journal entries and can be resolved at that time.

Setting up Position IDs and the BU in a prior year to conform to a not yet open financial Fiscal Year causes extra work for users and confusion if reporting on the Position setup. In the financials modules, posting to a future period is allowable with a warning. The same should be possible for Position IDs.
