Last updated on MARCH 12, 2021

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Contract and Service Billing - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9.2]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When the Fixed Asset Constants (P001012) are set up with Unit Number as the primary identifier, it will not be possible to enter a valid unit number in the Equipment Worked field in the Billing Line Cross Reference, P5212. Even when using the visual assist to fetch the correct equipment record, the system will end in the following error:

Asset Number Invalid - Input
Error ID: 0626

Steps to Duplicate
1. Navigate to the Fixed Assets Constants (P001012); set the Symbol to Identify Unit Number to blank so that Unit Number is the primary identifier for Fixed Assets.
2. Go to Asset Search and Location, P1204. Find a record with a valid Unit Number.
3. Create a Contract Master, P5201.
4. Create a T&M Billing Line, P5202.
5. After creating the Billing Line detail record, take the row exit to Cross Reference.
6. Enter valid account information; in the Equipment Worked field, enter the Unit Number from step 2 and tab down. Notice the system displays the following error:
Asset Number Invalid - Input
Error ID: 0626
7. Attempt to populate the Equipment Worked using the visual assist and notice that the system still displays the error.
