Symptoms

The inflation rate of the Venezuelan Bolívar soberano (VES) currency has been in excess of 10,000% per year, resulting in the common possibility of amount values in excess of 15 characters needing to be entered/stored in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne.  Current system design limits many amount values to a maximum 15 character limit value of 9,999,999,999,999.99, and this is problematic when using the VES currency.  An enhancement to allow for amount values system-wide in excess of 15 characters would be helpful in alleviating this problem.
