E1: 07: Allow the Do Not Print to N for Tax Types R & T in P069012 Work with Tax Area Information (Doc ID 2647192.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 20, 2021

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne US Payroll - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Prior to taking the 2020 W4 ESU and its dependencies, Tax Types R & T for Railroad Tier Taxes did not print on the payroll register and paystub.  After taking the ESUs these tax types now print on the paystubs.  If you try to change the Method of Printing to an N while the tax is Employee paid you get an Invalid Print Rule error.  If you change the tax to a company paid tax and change the method of printing to an N then it no longer prints on the pay stub and R073012 in 9.2 (possible temporary workaround).

This is an enhancement request to allow the Do Not Print to N for Tax Types R & T (EE withheld RR taxes).

Since JDE doesn't support RR taxes, we've created a workaround using DBAs which appears on the paystubs.  The information from the DBAs is updated to Tax History after Final Update, so Tax Types R & T appear a pay period behind when showing on the paystub and never show a current deduction.  It's confusing to employees to see the DBA and the Tax Types.
