E1: 32: How to Access & Print Cross Segment Editing Rule Warnings (error ID 320W in P3210) from Sales and Manufacturing Applications (Doc ID 2655041.1)

Last updated on APRIL 02, 2020

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Configurator - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

In the Cross Segment Editing Rules (P3292), if a rule is set up with the Required or Optional field (ATRQ) = O, the system will create warning message 320W if the rule is violated in the P3210. The user can review the warning in the Message Center Detail, however the configuration can still be processed. After doing this, there is no other place to alert users that the warning has been triggered.

The request is to store this warning so that it can be viewed later in the process from either the Sales Order or Manufacturing side. For example, if the warning were stored in a text attachment (F00165), this could be printed in the Work Order Print pdf, R31415. The text attachment could also be accessed from the Sales Order detail (P4210) or Work Order header (P48013).
