E1: KER: Call Objects Kernel Spawns New Processes Up to the maxNumberOfProcesses Listed, Instead of Reaching the MaxUserSessionThreads Value on Existing Call Object Kernels (Doc ID 2657869.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 28, 2022

Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Call objects kernel spawned off the number of maxNumberOfProcesses in jde file JDENET_KERNEL_DEF6 ( CALL OBJECT KERNEL ) before reaching the MaxUserSessionThreads on Call Object Kernels.

We are seeing 90 call objects kernels in Server Manager and only 2 users connect to each Call Object Kernel.

According to our configuration there should be 10 users per COK.

How does the system determine when to spawn a new Call Object Kernel?
