E1: 49: Option to Copy Route and Zone Field from the Sales Order Header to the Shipment (Doc ID 2659033.1)

Last updated on APRIL 14, 2020

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Transportation Management - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Currently values for Route (ROUT), Zone (ZON) and Freight handling code (FRTH) can be copied from the Customer Billing instructions (F03012) into a shipment that is created when a new order is entered. However if at sales order entry time these fields are entered or updated on the sales order header then the updated values are not written to the shipment that is created. While these fields initially were designed to be used only by non-Transportation customers that enabled the user to track transportation related information in the absence of having shipments to store that data, there are many customers that require the option to overwrite these values at order entry.
The request is to create an option, e.g. in the Transportation constants (P49002) that allows users to overwrite and copy the values for the Route and Zone Field from the Sales Order Header to the Shipment.
